the start of something cutieful

Now that we have some more female companions on our way to prog heaven, i wonder if we can finally talk about the real absorbing and interesting question wink : who is the cutest in prog-country? Naturally the choice for heterosexual men is smaller than e. g. for women (just have a friendly look at "are there any women here???" by karisssss), and there are only a few names that come to my mind:
Tori Amos: play piano for myself (naturally cannot compare to Tori by far) and her ecstasy is exactly the right one;
Sanya, the former singer of Siena Root: hmmmmm, like Bassman would say;
and Heather Findlay;
but if i'd be a woman and born some years before, i'd really dote on 2 James (Marshal and Douglas), who sadly left in '70 and '71.

Findlay, yes... also from back in the day Sonja Kristina of Curved Air, currently Lori Linstruth of Stream Of Passion/Guilt Machine.

Re: the start of something cutieful

hmmmmmm.... well, nane35, I kind of agree with your picks of Gavin Harrison, but even better.... Roine Stolt and Tomas Bodin from TFK! big_smile

and hmmmm... I definitely agree with 9feet on Jim Morrison!! Of course, we have only seen him in his 20s  (a good decade for looks!) .... not sure I would still be saying the same thing if he were still alive, in his 60s with the lifestyle he lived.... hmmmm.....  hmm

BTW, very clever title for this thread, 9feet!

Dweezil isn't bad, but I prefer the guys closer to my own age. Having said that, check this link out, the picture at the very top of the page, blond guy on the left... pretty cutieful! big_smile

What about Steve Vai?

http://www.thegauntlet.com/interviews/p … %20Vai.jpg

Ok, at the age of 53 I'm pretty clear on my sexuality, and it's most definitely hetero. But if I wasn't...see the light dancing off his hair. Why, I would...

Wait, did I say that out loud?

Re: the start of something cutieful

Hey Bassman, in a concert this night the lady singer told the public: every woman needs a bass player, 'cause the bass player is always the coolest guy in the band...

Re: the start of something cutieful

I think I can think of a suitable response to the last few posts about bass players...

One of my first boyfriends was a bass player, and I sure thought he was cool! And it is such a cool instrument.   So, I have always thought bass players were usually the coolest guys in the band.  (Plus, this boyfriend was the one who first turned me onto stereo and Led Zeppelin... among other unnamed things...)  big_smile

Whoa!!!

"other unnamed things"

That's like saying "I'm going to tell you a secret", and then "actually, never mind".

I guess we'll just have to use our imagination.  big_smile

Couldn't agree more ... Billy Sherwood ROCKS ! I've got both World Trade CD's and the Conspiracy CD with Chris Squire.
